Membership in the Basset Hound Club of America is open to anyone with an interest in promoting the welfare of this wonderful breed. Applicants must be in good standing with the American Kennel Club and any other dog sports clubs of which they have been a member.
As a member of BHCA, you'll receive a subscription to Tally-Ho, BHCA's outstanding bimonthly magazine, which contains articles dealing with all aspects of the breed; information about upcoming specialty shows, field trials, hunting tests, and performance events; and many color photographs. Many BHCA members have been approved to judge basset hounds in AKC competitions including conformation, field trial, obedience, rally, agility, and tracking. BHCA Standing Rules require that the conformation judges at any BHCA National or Regional Specialty be member-judges. View BHCA Judges
