The 2023 Nationals will be held one month earlier than usual. The date for the actual Futurity event will be August 29, 2023. In order to bring the Futurity/Maturity into sync with the puppies actual age of at least 6 months on that date, the following temporary changes will need to be made for 2023 ONLY, with the exception of 2024 Class IV that will include puppies born in March of 2023.

The temporary changes for the 2023 and 2024 will be:
- Eligibility: Change the cutoff date for nomination to Feb 28, 2023
- Puppies eligible to compete in 2023 are those whelped on or after March 31of the prior year and on or before February 28 of the same year in which the stake is held
- Puppies born in March of 2023 will be eligible to compete in 2024
- Enrollment: Futurity, Third & Final Enrollment will have to be postmarked on or before June 1, 2023
- 2023 Nominations for Maturity will close on June 1, 2023
- Futurity Classes:
- Class I, puppies whelped in January, February 2023, December 2022
- Class II, for puppies whelped in September, October, November 2022
- Class III for puppies whelped in June, July, August 2022
- Class IV for puppies whelped in March, April, May 2022
- 2024 only Class IV will be for puppies whelped in March, April, May, June 2023
