The Basset Hound Club of America welcomes visitors to its newly redesigned website featuring updated resources for Basset Hound owners, breeders, exhibitors, rescue supporters, and AKC enthusiasts.
BHCA was awarded the AKC Eddy Award for excellence in breeder education in 2023. The award honored the creation of Basset Hound University (BHU), which houses courses, self-correcting quizzes, reference guides and videos online. BHU was developed based on BHCA’s belief that educating breeders should be comprehensive and should be in line with how we educate judges, so that we are all working towards the same goal – perfecting the Basset Hound breed!
