The Basset Hound Club of America’s Board of Directors regretfully informs everyone that the 2020 BHCA National Specialty and associated events have been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Our highest concern is the health and safety of our membership, exhibitors, judges, and guests. After reviewing the current State of Illinois phased approach to recovery, reviewing CDC guidelines, listening to medical authorities, and many of our members that have said they will not be attending, it left us with no choice but to cancel the 2020 Nationals.

Our 2020 conformation judges are being contacted to verify their willingness to judge the 2021 Nationals. The 2021 Nationals will be held in Lima, OH, October 1-8, 2021. We will let you know the schedule for the 2021 National as soon as possible.

The board also approved the 2020 Nationals venue be moved to 2022 at the same location (Mercy Health Sports Center) in Rockford, IL. Dates will be Oct 2-7. Sharon Nance will be the Coordinator.

If you’ve made a hotel reservation, you will need to call the hotel to cancel.
