Basset Hound University (BHU) is a website (https://bassethounduniversity.com) that houses reference guides, quizzes and videos to provide useful and authoritative information about our breed.
Consider BHU as a home study program in Basset Hound education. BHU is divided into four “schools” or modules, each covering a different aspect of Basset Hound involvement: 1) what you need to know as a Basset Hound owner; 2) the activities you can participate in with your dog; 3) what to know if you are considering becoming a Basset Hound breeder; and 4) what those interested in judging Basset Hounds in the show ring should be looking for when examining examples of our breed.
The concept behind BHU is similar to that of online degree programs, where Basset Hound owners, exhibitors, breeders and judges can take courses and complete them at their own pace at home. You can take as many courses as you like, and all of the content is free of charge.
