If you missed the recent BHCA Club Website Training for local and regional club officers, you can watch the replay and follow along at your own pace.

This training was created for club presidents, treasurers, secretaries, and designated club representatives who will help manage their club’s information on the BHCA website. The replay walks through how to use your club login, update your club directory listing, and submit club events to the BHCA event calendar.

What You Will Learn In The Replay

In this website training replay, local and regional club officers can follow along and learn more about:

  • How to log in using your club website access
  • How to confirm you are signed in as your club instead of your individual member account
  • How to review and update your club profile
  • What information appears in your public club directory listing
  • How to add or update your club logo, short description, photos, website, and social links
  • How to list key club contacts, such as your president, treasurer, secretary, or other board members
  • How to select a city and state that best represent your club’s regional territory
  • How to submit club events to the BHCA event calendar
  • How to add event details, dates, locations, flyers, photos, premium list links, and entry information
  • How to review an event after it has been added to the calendar
  • How to edit an event you created
  • When to contact the web team for help with updates, event cancellations, or access questions

This replay is especially helpful for officers and club representatives who are responsible for keeping their club’s BHCA listing accurate and making sure upcoming events are shared with the broader Basset Hound community.

Managing Your Club Listing

Your club profile is what appears in the BHCA Local and Regional Club Directory. This listing helps prospective members, current members, exhibitors, and Basset Hound owners learn more about your club and how to get in touch.

During the training, you will see how to review and update your club’s public profile, including your club description, logo, contact information, photos, links, and social media details.

Club officers are encouraged to use this area to share helpful information about the club, such as the region you serve, the types of activities you offer, meeting details, club history, and how interested Basset Hound owners can learn more.

Choosing The Right Club Location

The training also explains how your club’s city and state help place your club on the map in the BHCA directory.

For many clubs, the best location may be a central city within your club’s territory rather than the personal address of the secretary or another officer. This helps people searching by location understand which club may be closest or most relevant to them.

Adding Key Club Contacts

Club officers can add important contacts to the club profile so visitors know who to reach. At minimum, clubs may want to include key positions such as president, treasurer, secretary, or corresponding secretary.

Keeping contact information current helps BHCA and interested members reach the right person when needed.

Submitting Club Events

The replay also walks through how club representatives can submit events to the BHCA event calendar.

This includes adding the event title, category, start and end dates, location, event description, photos or flyers, and helpful links. Clubs may include links to outside event pages, premium lists, superintendent pages, entry information, or other useful details.

Adding a photo or flyer can help your event stand out on the calendar and give visitors a clearer sense of what the event is about.

Editing Or Updating Events

The training explains how to review an event after it has been submitted and how to edit event details when needed.

If your club created the event, you should be able to open the event from the calendar and use the admin option to make updates. If an event needs to be removed or canceled, please contact the web team for assistance.

A Helpful Resource For Club Leaders

The BHCA website is designed to help local and regional clubs share accurate information, promote upcoming events, and make it easier for Basset Hound enthusiasts to connect with clubs across the country.

We encourage each club to watch the replay, review its club listing, and confirm that the correct officers or representatives have access to manage the information.

Thank you to everyone who joined the live training session and asked questions. Your questions help us continue building useful resources and FAQs for all BHCA clubs.
