IMPORTANT NOTICE: CHANGE OF SITUATION AT ORIGINAL HOST HOTEL

The original hotel for the National Specialty, Howard Johnson in Lima,  has decided not to fully honor their contract with BHCA. At this point, they have 65 reservations - which will be honored - and should be considered full, they will not be taking further BHCA reservations.

Please note that the Howard Johnson will only accept 2 dogs per room, and this will be strictly enforced  with rooms subject to inspection at any time. For individuals with more than two dogs, the Nationals Committee will be hiring a person to stand guard at the fairgrounds and dogs may be left in the building overnight. The building will be open from 6 AM to 11 PM.

Alternatively, or for those who prefer, the Nationals Co-Coordinators have secured rooms at three other motels:

  • Motel 6 (behind the Howard Johnson) - 2 dog limit.
  • Comfort Inn in Bluffton, OH, approximately 18 miles from the Howard Johnson - 4 dog limit.
  • TownPlace Suites by Marriott, 1.9 miles from fairgrounds - 2 dog limit.

The blocks of rooms reserved will be released September 1st, so make your reservations soon!

Located straight down highway, about 18 miles (20 minutes) from the host hotel.

  • $109.99 - All rooms doubles with 2 Queen beds. Add a roll-out for $15 additional.
  • 4 dog limit with pet fee: 1-2 dogs $25 for each three nights; 3-4 dogs $50 for each three nights. Must register number of dogs at check in.
  • NO MORE than 4 dogs/room. Those with more will be asked to leave.

RV PARKING

RV Parking is available onsite at the Allen County Fairgrounds and includes electric, water and sewer hookups. Electric is 30 Amp with some spots to 50 Amp.
